Created over the course of 3 years, this painting went through several iterations and remakings. Initially, this canvas depicted a street level view of Atlantic Ave, with the elements of the skyline that are pictured here occupying a tangental role. As the imaged evolved, these personified rooftop elements took over. Parallel to producing of this work, Tara and I were married and I moved into her loft on Atlantic Ave in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. This is the view from her rooftop.
